ASSP Announces New Volunteer Leaders for 2025-26

ASSP has named Linda Tapp as its new president for 2025-26, alongside other newly elected board members.

The American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP), the world’s oldest professional safety organization, has announced its new volunteer leaders based on the 2025 Society elections. All terms begin July 1. Linda Tapp will serve as ASSP president for 2025-26.

“Our Society’s strength is rooted in our dedicated volunteers and their desire to lead our organization,” said ASSP President Pam Walaski, CSP, FASSP, whose term ends June 30. “Engaged safety and health professionals have always defined ASSP, keeping it vibrant while advancing worker safety, health and well-being.”

ASSP’s top elected positions are president, president-elect, senior vice president, vice president of finance and directors-at-large. Each is a one-year term on the board of directors except for the three-year terms of the vice president of finance and directors-at-large. The succession of leaders from senior vice president to president-elect, and from president-elect to president, is automatic. All board members also govern the ASSP Foundation.
