OSHA Appoints Scott Ketcham as Deputy Assistant Secretary
Scott Ketcham, OSHA's new deputy assistant secretary, brings over 20 years of OSHA experience and a strong background in safety enforcement and leadership.

Scott Ketcham has been named OSHA’s new deputy assistant secretary. Ketcham, who has over 20 years of experience with OSHA, steps into the national office after serving in several leadership and enforcement roles.
Ketcham recently directed OSHA’s Directorate of Enforcement Programs and spent nearly five years as the head of the Directorate of Construction. He also served two years as deputy director for the same directorate. His previous roles within OSHA include assistant area director, area director, deputy regional administrator and compliance officer.
Before joining OSHA, Ketcham worked as a staff industrial hygienist with the U.S. Army Medical Activity at Bassett Army Hospital in Alaska. A Certified Safety Professional, Ketcham holds a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Alaska and a Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University. Ketcham also brings 24 years of military service in the U.S. Army, Army Reserve, and Army National Guard.
