DENVER — For the first time in its 63-year history, Safety 2024, this year’s edition of the American Society of Safety Professionals’ annual conference and exposition, has sold out. Moreover, it’s seeing record attendance.
Running Aug. 7-9 this week at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Safety 2024’s sold-out attendance has surpassed a whopping 6,000 attendees, and the show floor now boasts more than 650 exhibitors.
“Thank you for making history with us,” said ASSP Chief Executive Officer Jennifer McNelly, during this morning’s general session.
“Over 6,000 of my safety friends and colleagues are here, and on behalf of the 2023 and 2024 Professional Development Conference (PDC) Planning Committee thank you for attending this year’s conference,” said Stephanie Gurnari, CSP, Branch Risk Engineering Services Manager at Chubb, who chairs the ASSP’s PDC Planning Committee. “We have a great program planned to help you learn, connect and share in many different ways.”
Gurnari credited the PDC committee for its hard work on helping make Safety 2024 possible: “Their efforts are the reason Safety 2024 sold out for the first time in ASSP history.”
