VPPPA Hosts 2024 Process Safety Management Summit in April

The event takes place in Pasadena, Texas, on April 10 and 11, 2024.

The Voluntary Protection Programs Participants' Association (VPPPA) is set to host its 2024 Process Safety Management (PSM) Summit on April 10 and 11, 2024.

According to the event’s website, the summit—which will take place at the Health and Safety Council (HASC) Training Center in Pasadena, Texas—provides attendees with PSM industry education and networking opportunities. PSM professionals from various sectors will lead nine separate sessions focused on topics, such as current trends, prominent challenges, and innovative solutions that may elevate safety programs.

Key takeaways for attendees include identifying the strengths and weaknesses of their site’s PSM program, understanding the interplay between PSM elements and VPP sub-elements, and preparing for emerging issues such as knowledge management, changes in Recognized And Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices (RAGAGEP) and the integration of artificial intelligence in safety protocols.

The event also offers a unique networking opportunity with the inclusion of the Health and Safety Council’s Safety Day. This addition features a Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) panel discussion and the council’s annual Crawfish Boil, providing a relaxed environment for further discussion and connection post-summit.

For more information on the PSM Summit, visit the event page on the VPPPA website.
