Construction Safety Week runs May 1-5, and a big component of this year’s event is how everyone involved in a construction project can own and act on safety to positively impact the mental health safety of their coworkers. Ralph Blessing, a professor at Columbia Southern University, discusses the importance of safeguarding mental health in the workplace.

Blessing has more than 30 years of experience in occupational safety and health experience encompassing general industry, construction, training and public speaking. He applies that background to discuss the pillars of prioritizing mental health on a construction job site, as well as key statistics related to workplace mental health.
