Columbia Southern University Brings Courses, Training and More as This Year’s ASSP Live From Sponsor

OH&S is excited to have Columbia Southern University (CSU) as our sponsor for this year’s Live From program for Virtual ASSP 2020. CSU is bringing you everything your safety career needs: certifications, training courses and other career information.

As a virtual event, this year’s ASSP Safety show is going to look a little different. Normally for the ASSP show, I would be getting ready to spend all day walking around a convention center, visiting exhibitor booths and meeting people face-to-face with a clip-on mic for interviews and videos. This year, of course, we do not have the opportunity to meet in-person or have sore feet at the end of a long show day.

However, this year’s Live From program will not be too far off from previous years. There will be no clip-on mics or live videos from the booths, but our sponsor, Columbia Southern University (CSU), will be able to reach its audience through the world wide web and the power of technology.

OH&S will share show news and CSU information through our Live From program through our social channels (Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn); on our Live From page; and via daily newsletters. You’re going to want to also follow the #Safety2020 all week and next for relevant show information and content.

Columbia Southern University has all the tools you need to advance and enhance your safety career. Make sure to tune into our Live From channels, but here is a sneak peek into some of the benefits CSU has to offer:

  • a flowchart to help you figure out which safety certifications are right for you
  • a prediction of upcoming OSH industry trends
  • a BCSP-recognized Master program in Occupational Safety and Health
  • a blog page on topics like millennials in the workplace and job interview tips
  • many online, continuing education courses
  • student testimonials

These are just to name a few! The OH&S team is excited to tune into the virtual show this week, and are thrilled CSU is helping us deliver important industry news that you do not want to miss.
