New from OH&S: SafetyPod

OH&S recently launched SafetyPod, a podcast aimed at diving deeper into industry-related topics.

OH&S has been an established source of information in the safety industry for more than 87 years, and with the change in media and online offerings comes the opportunity to add to the way we engage with safety professionals who look to OH&S for industry-specific information. In an effort to reach more safety professionals than ever before, OH&S recently launched SafetyPod, a podcast aimed at diving deeper into industry-related topics.

We have been thinking about launching a podcast for a while, but we were unsure how you, the reader, would react. OH&S wanted to make sure we were launching a product you would be interested in, so we put out a survey. We were blown away by the results: 84 percent of those surveyed said they already listened to podcasts and 98 percent said they would be very interested in a safety podcast from OH&S.

SafetyPod has already launched its very first episode focused on addressing safety culture with Robert Pater, Managing Director of MoveSMART and writer of the Breakthrough Strategies column that appears in each issue of the magazine. Robert and I talked through what a safety culture is and steps leaders can take to improve the culture in their companies. Listen to it now by searching for OH&S SafetyPod wherever you listen to podcasts.

Each podcast will feature a 20- to 30-minute conversation between an industry expert and me on a specific topic. Topics can include fall protection, industrial hygiene, safety culture and leadership, personal protection equipment, hazard communication and more. If you have suggestions or recommendations on what topics you would like us to cover, feel free to email me.

OH&S is very excited to be launching this new way to engage with the brand. We are excited to hear what you think and have the podcast evolve with your feedback.

OH&S SafetyPod is available on Apple Podcasts and Stitcher and Google Play. Subscribe today, or listen below!
