VPPPA Announces Partnership with ISEA

The Voluntary Protection Programs Participants’ Association (VPPPA) is excited to announce they have established a collaborative partnership with The International Safety Equipment Association (ISEA). The goal of this partnership is to improve occupational safety and health at workplaces throughout the world and the role safety management systems, safety equipment manufacturers and certified safety equipment plays in its achievement.

VPPPA and ISEA will work cooperatively through this partnership to provide communication, outreach and occupational safety and health development opportunities. They will strengthen the educational opportunities for workers and employers, support occupational safety and health injury prevention strategies, participate in conferences, meetings and other key events where worker safety and health protection are the target for advancement and facilitate the transfer of relevant research findings to contribute to the body of knowledge in support of their member organizations.

The partnership was officially signed on Thursday, July 25, 2019, at the ISEA headquarters, located in Arlington, VA. Both J.A. Rodriguez Jr., Business EHSS Leader at Raytheon Company and Chairman of the Board at VPPPA, as well as Sheila Eads, President and CEO of ERB Industries and Chairman of the Board at ISEA, were on hand for the ceremony.

Rodriguez said, “We are very excited to partner with ISEA on our common cause: to help protect every worker everywhere. We will transform tomorrow together by leveraging our collective strengths and expertise. We will improve the protection of workers, offer effective prevention strategies and technologies and deliver excellence to our respective global membership in this regard.”

Eads added, “ISEA shares a vision with the VPPPA to ensure every worker gets home safely. We are truly excited about our partnership, and together, we will work to advance the level of protection and best practices to ensure workers can safely perform their jobs.”
