Safety+ Pre-Symposium Workshops Set

The pre-symposium workshops are four-hour or eight-hour sessions on Aug. 27. Topics include Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED and also Inspection Techniques and Hazard Recognition.

Attendees of this year's VPPPA Safety+ Symposium at Nashville's Gaylord Opryland Convention Center can earn CEUs at more than 100 workshops being presented at the event.

Kerri Carpenter, VPPPA's communications & outreach manager, indicated workshops will take place Aug. 29 through Aug. 31 at the convention center. A full list of the workshops and speakers is available here.

Pre-symposium workshops will take place Aug. 27 at the convention center. These are four-hour or eight-hour workshops on the following topics:

  • What's New in DOE-VPP?
  • Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED
  • Rigging and Slinging
  • Inspection Techniques and Hazard Recognition
  • Basic & Advanced Employee Response to an Active Shooter
