November Brown Bag Lunch Focused on Safety Enforcement

Attendees of the Nov. 8 event in Washington, D.C., can meet leaders and staff from the Solicitor's Divisions of Occupational and Mine Safety and Health, OSHA, MSHA, and the Occupational and Mine Safety and Health Review Commissions.

The Office of the Solicitor of Labor will host a brown bag lunch at the Department of Labor headquarters, the Frances Perkins Building at 200 Constitution Ave. NW in Washington, D.C., on from noon to 2 p.m. Nov. 8. The event will focus on legal issues related to occupational safety and health and is part of the ABA LEL Annual CLE Conference's Inside the Beltway Track.

The announcement says the lunch "will offer a unique opportunity to meet and visit with leadership and staff from several agencies involved in occupational safety and health enforcement: the Solicitor's Divisions of Occupational and Mine Safety and Health, OSHA, MSHA, and the Occupational and Mine Safety and Health Review Commissions (OSHRC and FMSHRC). After a brief presentation about relevant cases and initiatives from the various agencies, we will answer questions from participants."

Anyone taking the subway can get there by going to the Dupont Circle Metro station and taking the Red Line (heading toward Glenmont/Silver Spring) to the Judiciary Square station, takingthe D Street/courthouses exit; Third Street is about 100 feet to the left. Turn right on Third Street, and the entrance to DOL's building is across from the C Street light.

Attendees should pick up their own lunch on the way and should arrive by 11:45 a.m. to ensure everyone has completed security and is seated by noon.
