Live from NSC 2016 Wrap-Up Day 1
The first day of NSC saw a busy exhibit hall with a number of excellent demos.
A rare patch of rain hit Anaheim Monday morning, enticing attendees to get inside the exhibit hall as quickly as possible to see all of the exciting new innovations in the safety industry at NSC 2016 Day 1.
Quality demos from multiple companies ensured it was hard to walk a few feet without wanting to stop and see something new on display.
Industrial Scientific had a full slate of gas detection sessions, where the stage was set to showcase the Radius BZ1 Area Monitor as well as the Ventis Pro Multi-Gas Monitor. Demos will continue throughout the show at booth #1820.
Over at booth #1852, Little Giant Ladders was showing off a number of new innovations in ladder safety. The Adjustable Safety Cage includes a nonconductive, high strength fiberglass frame as well as a self-enclosing platform that complies with tie-off rules.
The Sumostance includes leveling outriggers, allowing the ladder to level on unstable ground and increase side-tip stability by up to 600%. This pairs nicely with the Lunar, which is 20% lighter than ordinary fiberglass extension ladders.
New Pig, creator of the Grippy Mat, was also performing demonstrations for those walking by. Using a bottle of water, New Pig was able to highlight the effectiveness of their mats when it comes to preventing slips and falls. Check out booth #740 for more.
Finally, Columbia Southern University had a presence at the show, where they were promoting the new CSP Prep Course and connecting with fellow alumni.
