NSC Accepting Nominations for Green Cross for Safety Awards

The awards are presented to individuals and organizations that help advance safety at work, in homes and communities

According to a press release, the NSC is accepting nominations for its Green Cross for Safety awards, which are given to individuals and organizations that have advanced safety at work, in homes and communities. In order to win, recipients must have demonstrated continuous improvement and the effectiveness of their actions, says the NSC.

“We lose someone every four minutes because of a preventable injury,” said Deborah A.P. Hersman, president and CEO of the National Safety Council. “Eliminating these deaths in our lifetime requires dedication from individuals, organizations and groups. The Green Cross for Safety nominees will have a proven success record and a passion for reaching zero deaths.”
