Getting Ready for VPPPA's National Conference

"The conference lasts four days, but the knowledge and experiences last a lifetime," as the VPPPA says its in its pre-show documents explaining why the #VPPPA32 conference is worthwhile for attendees.

One of the year's best U.S. safety events, the 2016 national conference of the Voluntary Protection Programs Participants' Association, is just around the corner. VPPPA's 10 regions presented their own annual conferences in April and May this year, but the 32nd Annual National VPPPA Safety & Health Conference taking place Aug. 29 through Sept. 1 at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center in Kissimmee, Fla., is the one safety professionals from some 2,300 VPP companies nationwide eagerly look forward to.

"The conference lasts four days, but the knowledge and experiences last a lifetime," the VPPPA says its in its pre-show documents explaining why the conference is worthwhile for attendees.

New elements in the #VPPPA32 conference are a security panel, with survivors and experts from government agencies and others discussing how to handle active shooter incidents and how to set up security protocols at your site, taking place from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 29; a comprehensive, two-part construction workshop that covers excavations, confined spaces, cranes and rigging, and scaffolding and fall protection; and a free, pre-conference mediation training workshop.

It will feature more than 100 workshops and an expo with more than 300 companies showcasing their latest products and services. Expo hours are 4-7 p.m. Aug. 29 (with an expo reception offered during the first hour), 8 a.m. - 3:15 p.m. Aug. 30; and 9:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Aug. 31.

Registration for VPPPA members is $835; for non-members, the price is $1,305.
