Bus Leasing and Interchange Final Rule Compliance Date Extended to January 1, 2018

The original compliance date was initially set for January 1, 2017

The FMCSA’s Final Rule to identify motor carriers transporting passengers in interstate commerce and correctly assign responsibility to these entities has had its compliance date extended by one year, according to a report.

The original compliance date was set for January 1, 2017, and has now been extended to January 1, 2018. The Final Rule will provide the general public with the means to identify the responsible motor carrier at the time transportation services are provided.
