Product Theater at VPPPA31 Opens with JLG
JLG demonstrated its personal lift pods on the first big day of VPPPA31.
GRAPEVINE, Texas -- The first big day of VPPPA31 saw JLG open the Product Theater with its FT Series, a line of personal portable lifts. The FT140 was shown off on the exhibit floor, including a full demonstration reaching up to 20 feet in height. The lift pods aim to replace ladders at low to medium-low heights by offering a safe alternative.
Due to the high number of falls-from-heights that ladders are associated with, the FT series of lift pods allow a single worker to work safely and efficiently. A tool tray has been designed to keep everything within reach while also ensuring the worker doesn't get distracted while up high. The unit is powered by a 40-volt lithium battery, with an average of 6-10 hours of activity.
Along with the 20-foot reach, a 330-pound capacity bucket has been squared off to give workers more room to operate comfortably. By separating the unit into three distinct pieces, the FT models can be taken anywhere thanks to specialized portability.
JLG also does in-person demonstrations for companies and organizations interested in investing in worker safety.
