NIOSH's Branche to Be Honored at ISEA Fall Meeting

Christine M. Branche, Ph.D., principal associate director of NIOSH and director of its Office of Construction Safety and Health, will receive the association's Robert B. Hurley Distinguished Service Award during the December meeting.

The International Safety Equipment Association has posted details of its 2014 Fall Meeting, the association's largest national meeting. This one will take place Dec. 3-5 at the Westin Alexandria in Alexandria, Va., and will include the presentation of ISEA's prestigious Robert B. Hurley Distinguished Service Award to Christine M. Branche, Ph.D., principal associate director of NIOSH and director of its Office of Construction Safety and Health.

The event will include meetings of the association's product groups, a Dec. 3 reception for first-time attendees, the Dec. 3 Awards Dinner where Branche is scheduled to receive the award, and a Dec. 4 business meeting and general session.

Speakers will include keynoter Bill Perry, director of OSHA's standards and guidance section; and Jonathan Karl, ABC News' chief White House correspondent, the Dec. 4 luncheon speaker.
