A+A 2013 Exhibits Set New Record

More than 1,600 exhibitors from 55 countries have book a record amount of floor space for the Nov. 5-8 trade fair and congress in Dusseldorf, Germany.

More than 1,600 exhibitors from 55 countries have booked a record total of exhibit space for this year's A+A, International Trade Fair with Congress for Safety, Security and Health at Work. Taking place Nov. 5-8 at the fairgrounds in Dusseldorf, Germany, the event features workplace safety, health, and disaster preparedness products in a total of 652,900 square feet of exhibit space, according to Messe Düsseldorf GmbH, the show's organizer. A+A takes place every other year.

In a news release, the company reported two-thirds of the exhibitors at A+A 2013 are from countries other than Germany. Following Germany (306,770 square feet) in terms of booked space are Italy (49,500 square feet), China (35,500), Great Britain (34,440), France (30,460) and the Netherlands (21,500). There are 48 U.S. companies exhibiting, including 19 whose booths are in the North American Pavilion, organized by Messe Dusseldorf North America and supported by the National Safety Council.

Exhibitors of PPE will be in Halls 3, 4, 5, 7.0, 9, and 10. Corporate security and special equipment for disaster management products will be located in Halls 6 and 7a. The theme park "Occupational Fire Prevention and Disaster Management" in Hall 6 is organized in partnership with the German Association of Plant Fire Services, and the innovation park "Safety & Security" (Hall 7a) will feature live demonstrations.

"The corporate fashion/image wear market is seeing particular growth. For this clearly fashion-focused area of work and protective clothing, we will be attracting new target groups to A+A with our exhibitor range and the A+A fashion show -- for instance, decision-makers from companies requiring custom-designed ready-to-wear clothing," said Joachim Schafer, managing director of Messe Dusseldorf.
