NIOSH Launches New Web Resource

The data repository allows the public to download relevant datasets and research

According to a news release from the National Institute for Occupational Health and Safety (NIOSH), a new web resource has been launched that can help those in the occupational health and safety community. The new resource, entitled “NIOSH Data and Statistics Gateway,” allows key researchers and stakeholders in the industry the chance to download relevant, public datasets.

The datasets, which are applicable to the public, the industry and the scientific community, can be accessed with the click of a button. In addition to research materials, the web resource also features access to stats, hazard information, product information and more.

The datasets are organized so that each one includes a description of the data collection methods. The site also features an area where visitors can head to for more information from NIOSH regarding hazards, tests and measurements, investigations and more. The section also features non –NIOSH data references.
