Counting Down to VPPPA's Annual Conference

The Aug. 26-29 national conference, one of the top annual events on the safety community's calendar, will take place at the Gaylord Opryland Convention Center in Nashville.

Time has run out to get a discounted registration rate for the 29th Annual National VPPPA Conference, but it's still possible to register to attend one of the top annual events on the safety community's calendar. The conference will take place Aug. 26-29 at the Gaylord Opryland Convention Center in Nashville, and regular registration rates expired on Monday, July 15. About 3,000 attendees are expected.

The conference includes an expansive, top-notch expo with exhibitors showcasing everything from software and banners to AEDs, fall protection equipment, FR and chemical protective apparel, gloves, training, gas detection products, hearing protection, respiratory protection, machine guarding, HazCom and GHS compliance products, incentives, "man down" systems for lone workers, and much more.

Expo hours are 6-8 p.m. Aug. 26, 9 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. Aug. 27, and 9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Aug. 28. The agenda includes a two-part Opening General Session, the annual meeting of the membership, and a Labor and Management Open Forum on Aug. 26; workshops on Aug. 27 and Aug. 28; and a Western-themed Closing General Session from 9-11 a.m. Aug. 29.
