286,000 Garlic Slicers Recalled
The Pampered Chef of Addison, Ill., is recalling them because the blade can detach and poses a laceration hazard.
The Pampered Chef is recalling about 286,000 garlic slicers after receiving 23 reports of the blades detaching during use, including one report of a consumer whose finger was cut by a detached blade. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall March 7.
The white plastic slicers were sold from January 2009 through July 2011 by independent consultants nationwide and via www.pamperedchef.com. They were manufactured in China, according to the CPSC notice.
Consumers should stop using the product immediately and contact the company ([email protected], 877-917-2433) for a replacement.
