Anaheim to Welcome VPPPA Annual Conference

The Aug. 20-23 event at the Anaheim Convention Center includes an impressive list of exhibitors. Voting for VPPPA board members takes place Aug. 20-21.

The 2012 annual conference of the Voluntary Protection Programs Participants’ Association is taking place in Anaheim, Calif., this year, at the Anaheim Convention Center and two conference hotels, the Anaheim Marriott and the Hilton Anaheim.

The Aug. 20-23 event includes pre-conference workshops Aug. 19 (topics include the NFPA 70E 2012 standard, a VPP application workshop, and a workshop on improving process safety in the petroleum refining, chemical, and pipeline industries) and an expo Aug. 20-22.

Voting for VPPPA board members takes place Aug. 20-21. Mike Maddox, corporate VPP director for NuStar Energy, LP (San Antonio, TX), is seeking re-election as chairman of the VPPPA board of directors, and Chris Adolfson, business specialist at the Idaho National Laboratory (Idaho Falls, ID), is seeking re-election as treasure. Ocala, Fla.-based Target Leadership founder Jeff "Odie" Espenship is the speaker for the Aug. 23 closing general session, VPPPA announced July 25 on its Twitter page.
