Safety 2012 ASSE's Largest Expo on Record
The show features more than 500 exhibitors in 77,600 square feet of sold expo space. This is significant because last year’s record-setting centennial expo in Chicago featured 475 exhibitors, taking up 75,000 square feet in expo space.
Safety 2012 has officially begun, and the Colorado Convention Center in Denver has opened its doors to welcome safety professionals from around the world. This is ASSE’s largest expo ever, featuring more than 500 exhibitors and selling 77,600 square feet in expo space. This is significant because last year’s record-setting centennial expo in Chicago featured 475 exhibitors, taking up 75,000 square feet.
If Sunday’s bustling expo floor is any indication, this show is set to be productive and successful for exhibitors. Thousands of new products are being showcased at the expo, and an impressive lineup of keynote speeches and education sessions await attendees.
Some of the diverse products featured at the expo include:
- American-made first aid products by Kansas-based Certified Safety MFG, including FDA-, cGMP-, and ANSI-approved products, the CPRotector®, and the Emergency Transport Blanket.
- new protective and gas monitoring equipment from Honeywell;
- updated and new professional weather stations from Seattle-based Coastal Environmental Systems Inc., such as the ZENO and the WEATHERPAK, which are designed for use in harsh environments;
- new personal ergonomic protection equipment, such as the Ergotech vibration-reducing glove, from Impacto Protective Products Inc.;
- new snow-melting walkway and stair mats from HeatTrak;
- flexible air filtration products that eradicate a wide range of microorganisms from U.K.-based NFC Specialist Products Ltd;
- a new driver safety hotline and e-driver database system from SafetyFirst Systems LLC; and
- an AirWave respiratory and hearing protection product from Culver City, Calif.-based Moldex-Metric Inc.
Exhibitors at Safety 2012 range from large corporations to federal agencies to nonprofit organizations and colleges, showcasing cutting-edge safety technology, information, safety and health products, and available programs and classes. Many feature interactive displays and demonstrations of how these products work to protect people, property and the environment.
