Sensear's Growth Continues

Five years after the company was founded, it has landed a deal with the U.S. Marine Corps that opens more opportunities with the U.S. military, CEO Justin Miller says.

Six months after announcing the opening of a sales office in Singapore, Sensear marked its fifth anniversary by announcing it has landed a major deal with the U.S. Marine Corps. CEO Justin Miller said the company, which makes high-noise communication headsets and has joint headquarters in San Francisco and Perth, Australia, had worked with USMC for more than a year to develop the right solution.

"There are no more demanding environments and requirements for high-noise communication than those of the U.S. military," Miller said in the company's news release. "This deal further validates our leadership position as a world class innovator in high-noise communication technology solutions."

He said the deal "opens up further opportunities across the U.S. military as they focus their attention on innovative hearing protection and communication solutions." Sensear recntly announced it had completed a distribution agreement with STS Instruments in China, which has a growing need for high-noise communication solutions because of its rapid infrastructure build-out, the company said. "Five years ago Sensear was founded with a simple idea to change the way workers communicated in high-noise environments. . . . Now we are reducing the cost of noise for many of the world's leading companies with the application of the SENS technology right across the globe.”

The company posted a video about its first five years that is available at this website.

The Singapore sales office was announced in February 2011, with Miller saying the company needed a presence there to meet the demand from customers in Southeast Asia.
