Human Factors Research Excellence Prize Announced
Including a $10,000 prize and publication in the journal for which the prize is named, it will be presented for the first time at HFES' annual meeting in September 2011 in Las Vegas, Nev.
The Human Factors and Ergonomics Society recently announced the establishment of the Human Factors Prize by the journal's editor-in-chief, William S. Marras. The prize recognizes excellence in human factors/ergonomics research, with authors invited to submit papers on a specific topic each year.
The prize offers a $10,000 cash award and publication of the winning paper in the HFES flagship journal, Human Factors. It will be presented for the first time in September 2011 during the society's annual meeting in Las Vegas, Nev., where the recipient will present his or her work.
Health care ergonomics is the topic for the inaugural-year Human Factors Prize. Researchers should submit their work by uploading a manuscript at the submission site by June 1, 2011.
Manuscripts must cover original research in health care ergonomics and must comply with the requirements in the Instructions for Authors. Submitters do not have to be HFES members.
