Experts Look at Post-Reform Health Care

Institute 2010, the June 9-11 conference in Las Vegas hosted by America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), features a powerhouse lineup of speakers headed by former President Bill Clinton to shed light on U.S. health care's future.

How the recently enacted health care reform law will affect coverage and co-pays remains to be seen, so attendees of Institute 2010, the June 9-11 conference in Las Vegas by America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), will be paying close attention to multiple speakers who can shed light on U.S. health care's future and important concerns such as reimbursement policy, wellness, and health care fraud.

Concurrent sessions will discuss the growth and value of on-site clinics for improving employees' health, controlling obesity among children, and the future of telehealth.

Starting with former President Bill Clinton as keynote speaker, the event is scheduled to include speeches by former Labor Secretary Robert Reich, former HHS Secretary Donna Shalala, former U.S. Senate Majority Leader William Frist, former OMB director Alice Rivlin, former GAO head David Walker, and several other notables.

Thousands of health care professionals and corporate leaders attend this annual event, according to AHIP, which is based in Washington, D.C., and is an association representing about 1,300 member companies that provide health insurance coverage to more than 200 million Americans.
