ASSE to Present SeminarFest 2010 in Las Vegas
The American Society of Safety Engineers will hold its annual SeminarFest in Las Vegas Feb. 14-20, 2010. The society says it will be an intensive weeklong event featuring more than 50 seminars ranging from one to three days in length and offering essential and up-to-date technical, management, and skill-development topics for the safety, health, and environmental professional.
Aimed at providing fundamental continuing education and training for safety professionals, SeminarFest 2010 will offer seminars in leadership, safety management, safety training, statistical analysis in safety, incident investigation and root cause analysis, project management, global harmonization, fall protection, risk management, ergonomics, crane safety management, global environmental health and safety management, sustainability and change management, confined spaces, lockout/tagout, construction safety issues, and more. The event also will provide certificate in safety management seminars and certification preparation workshops including a math review and exam preparation workshops for the Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction Health and Safety Technologist (CHST), and the Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST) exams. In addition, an executive program in safety management will be offered.
During the week, attendees will have the opportunity to attend three complimentary lunches and one luncheon presentation given by Terry Wilkinson, Ph.D., CSP, CAE, ASSE director of member/regional affairs.Registrants can earn up to 5.0 Continuing Education Units or 7.0 Certification Maintenance points at SeminarFest.
