Health Leadership Award to Honor 'Visionary Medical Leader'
About three weeks remain before the June 12 deadline to submit nominations for the Global Leadership in Corporate Health Award offered by the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine and the National Business Group on Health.
Time's running out to apply for the Global Leadership in Corporate Health Award, a new competition offered by the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine and the National Business Group on Health to recognize outstanding achievements by individual physicians who implement programs that improve workforce and family health and productivity.
The partners say the annual award goes to "one outstanding physician who has made major contributions to, and captures the essence, of the field. Recipients of the award display medical leadership in developing data-driven health innovations in the workplace, providing leadership and vision, and/or publishing outstanding research in the field of health and productivity management."
Promoting workplace health, safety, and wellness in local, regional, or national initiatives is one of the listed criteria for the award. The nomination form is available here.
Nominations should be e-mailed to [email protected] and must be received by 5 p.m. June 12, 2009. Up to 12 additional pages of materials may be submitted electronically, including a list of research or programs in health and productivity management, letters of support, news releases about the nominee's accomplishments, news clippings, or other relevant materials.
