CDC Launches RSS Feeds for Emergency Sites

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has just launched RSS feeds for two of the most popular sections of its emergency.CDC.gov Web site.

"Recent Outbreaks and Incidents" provides information on selected public health emergency topics of recent public interest, ranging from Salmonella outbreaks to hurricanes to terrorism.

"Clinician Outreach and Communication Activity (COCA)" reaches out to the nation's clinicians with weekly updates and monthly conference calls.

RSS, which stands for Really Simple Syndication, is an easy way to receive automatic updates from CDC right on your desktop or browser. Go to http://emergency.cdc.gov/rss/ to add an RSS feed from each site. Follow the instructions of your particular news reader and paste the URL into your reader.
