Smith System Rolls Out 2009 Driver Study Guide

Smith System Driver Improvement Institute Inc. announced today its 2009 Driver Study Guide, which is available for purchase by Smith System certified instructors in two versions: one for small and mid-sized vehicles, the other for trucks and large vehicles. Both versions cover forward and backing motion and include quizzes and driver evaluation forms the instructors can use.

The company is based in Arlington, Texas, and has been training fleet drivers with on-road education since its founding in 1952.

"We have designed the Driver Study Guide to make training easier for instructors and more effective for students. It will support our entire process of classroom instruction, demonstration drives, coaching drives, and feedback drives," said Jim Smith, senior vice president of training for Smith System.

The company also announced the launch of a newly enhanced Online Forward Motion Training Program, saying it "covers the Smith 5 Keys™ with updated graphics and more video content than ever before to create a better learning experience and reinforce the driver training concepts addressed in the on-road driver training program." A demo of the Online Training Program is available by registering on the company's Web site.
