NSF Launches Revamped Web Site Devoted to Sleep Health

The National Sleep Foundation recently launched a redesigned Web site, www.sleepfoundation.org, designed to provide visitors, members, and partner organizations with more relevant and easy-to-find information on sleep.

The revamped site features an updated look with enhanced features, including an all-new appearance and layout with eye-catching graphics and user-friendly navigation bars. Users can deploy drop-down menus on the homepage as shortcuts to topic and disease-specific pages or use the search function that is still available on the top of every page as an additional tool for locating resources.

Site visitors looking to find a sleep care center nationally or abroad can click the "Find a Sleep Center" button to get in touch with a sleep center near them. An upgraded press center includes access to NSF press releases and a variety of other resources specifically intended for members of the media such as reports, polls, and customized information, such as the highlighted findings of NSF's Sleep in AmericaTM poll.

According to NSF CEO David Cloud, the new site contains all of the information on sleep disorders that users looked to the old site to provide, with greater focus on overall benefits of healthy sleep. This broader focus helps highlight all aspects of sleep medicine including sleep and women, sleep and children, and sleep and workplace issues and not just sleep problems. "Our Web site has always been an important tool for us to share accurate information on the benefits of healthy sleep and sleep disorders," Cloud said. "The redesigned site’s new look and improved functions will ensure an engaging educational experience for our users, and it will be even easier to find trusted, reliable information on sleep health."
