VPPPA Seeks 2009 Conference Workshop Proposals by Dec. 5
Dec. 5 is the deadline for workshop proposals for next year's Voluntary Protection Programs Participants' Association annual conference. The association's 25th annual national conference is set for Aug. 24-27, 2009, at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center in San Antonio, Texas -- the same facility where the American Society of Safety Engineers' 2009 annual conference, the Safety 2009 Professional Development Conference & Exposition, will take place June 28-July 1.
VPPPA's 2009 Conference Planning Committee is seeking these workshop proposals to be presented to safety, health, and environmental professionals: Eight-hour Skill Builder Workshops (Sunday, Aug. 23), four-hour members-only workshops (Aug. 23), and 60-minute conference workshops (Aug. 25-26).
Only electronic submissions will be accepted, and coordinator, moderator, and speaker information must be included at the time of submission; VPPPA does not assign coordinators, moderators, or speakers to workshops. (The coordinator, moderator, and/or speaker may be the same person.) Prior to the conference, the coordinator must ensure presenters have registered for the conference by July 20, 2009, for the regular speaker rate of $375; after July 20, the fee is $475.
