Ansell Releases 8th Edition of Chemical Resistance Guide
Red Bank, N.J.-based personal protective apparel provider Ansell has released the 8th Edition of its Chemical Resistance Guide, designed for safety and lab managers. Featuring updated permeation and degradation data, the comprehensive document is designed to allow users to accurately search for the right protective glove specifically for chemical applications. The guide is available as a downloadable PDF, or chemical workers can request a free hard copy by regular mail, at www.ansellpro.com.
"The 8th Edition Chemical Resistance Guide is based on years of Ansell's ASTM standard permeation and degradation testing to determine the general suitability of various products for use with specific chemicals," said Bill Bennett, Ansell marketing manager, Chemical and Disposable Products. "Using the guide, users can quickly determine the recommended glove that will provide the required protection for a particular chemical application."
Among the improvements to this latest edition are expanded product ranges and updated test data, Ansell said. The guide can be used in a three-ring binder or as a wall poster. Bennett noted that the guide's recommendations are based on laboratory tests and reflect Ansell's best judgment based on available data and in accordance with the current revision of ASTM Method F739. The purchaser must ultimately determine product suitability through testing, he said.
