ASSE to Host Baltimore Symposium on Safety Success in Business

The American Society of Safety Engineers will converge on Baltimore March 13-14 to conduct a symposium focusing on the integration of safety into industry business strategies. The event, "The Business of Safety--A Matter of Success," will use the construction of Baltimore's Harbor East as a shining example of how to design out workplace hazards, successfully manage vendors, and align safety with business goals and development. Contract writing, an executive forum, and case study roundtables are among the highlights of the sessions.

Designed to increase members' knowledge on business and leadership tactics, the two-day symposium will feature 20 concurrent sessions on business tactics, negotiation skills, communication, risk assessment, cost-benefit analysis, influential leadership, and other business strategies that strengthen OSH&E professionals' efforts to make the business case for safety. Business leaders Chuck Martin and Roger Dawson will be featured speakers at the event, taking place at the Sheraton Baltimore City Center Hotel.
