L&I VPP Seminar Set for March 19

The keynote speaker is Michael Wood, CSP, administrator for Oregon OSHA and a former L&I manager, who will address the challenges of making workplace health and safety a reality through effective leadership, consistent messaging, and safety fundamentals.

A free seminar designed for managers, safety professionals, safety committee members, and anyone interested in improving workplace safety is taking place March 19 in Tumwater, Wash., and is sponsored by the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries' Voluntary Protection Program. L&I says the Seventh Annual VPP Seminar will be an opportunity for employers to learn from companies that have been recognized for safety excellence.

Organizations that will be on hand to share their expertise and experience include the Oregon Occupational Safety & Health Administration, Sherwin Williams, Compass Consulting, Fluor Idaho, and the L&I Division of Occupational Safety & Health.
