FMCSA Seeks Input on Automated Driving Systems in Vehicles

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has scheduled a July 12 free public listening session to discuss issues related to the design, development, testing, and integration of automated driving systems (ADS) equipped commercial motor vehicles on roadways.

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has scheduled a July 12 free public listening session to discuss issues related to the design, development, testing, and integration of automated driving systems (ADS) equipped commercial motor vehicles on roadways.

The meeting will be held Thursday, July 12, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time as part of the 2018 Automated Vehicles Symposium taking place at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square. Attendees will be invited to share their opinions on the design, testing, development, and integration of ADS-equipped vehicles on the commercial market, as well as any relevant data or analysis on this topic.

Comments will be taken from in-person participants as well as submissions online. The session will be livestreamed via webcast on the FMCSA website.
