OSHA Co-Sponsors Illinois Safety Forum

The agency is a co-sponsor of the Downstate Illinois Occupational Safety and Health Day.

OSHA will be co-sponsoring the Downstate Illinois Occupational Safety and Health Day on March 5, 2014, at the Peoria Civic Center in Peoria, Ill., according to a news release from the agency.

Other co-sponsors for the event include the OSHA's Peoria Area Office; the American Society of Safety Engineers Central Illinois Chapter; the American Industrial Hygiene Association's Prairie Section; the Greater Peoria Contractors and Suppliers Association Inc.; the Illinois Department of Labor's Division of Safety Inspection and Education; the AAIM Employers' Association; and the Illinois Manufacturing Excellence Center.

According to OSHA's release, breakout sessions, workshops, and discussions will cover crane safety, organizational change management, construction safety, combustible dust, fall protection, fire detection, community CPR, and more. The day will also include a health fair where guests can get free screenings.
