New AI Tools Target Efficiency and Insight in EHS Management

Benchmark Gensuite’s newly launched AI Agents use automation and analytics to simplify compliance tasks and turn safety data into actionable prevention strategies.

Benchmark Gensuite has introduced what it calls the first-ever suite of artificial intelligence agents developed specifically for environment, health and safety (EHS) professionals.

The new tools—branded as Benchmark Gensuite AI Agents—aim to automate routine safety and compliance tasks, generate real-time insights from EHS data, and assist managers with decision-making across operations. The company announced the launch Oct. 28 in a Business Wire press release.

“Our AI Agents are purpose-built to accelerate safety performance by helping users focus on prevention, not paperwork,” said Benchmark Gensuite CEO R Mukund. “We’re integrating AI directly into the daily workflow of EHS professionals, from incident tracking to sustainability reporting.”

AI for EHS, Not Just Data Analytics

Benchmark Gensuite said the agents combine natural-language capabilities with predictive analytics to analyze incident reports, inspection findings, and near-miss data. The system can then surface potential hazards, suggest corrective actions, and even draft compliance documentation.

According to the company, the AI Agents were trained on decades of aggregated EHS data drawn from its enterprise platform, which serves thousands of subscribers in manufacturing, energy, logistics, and other industries.

The new AI features build on the company’s ongoing collaboration with large global customers to use artificial intelligence in operational risk management and sustainability.

Industry Context

AI adoption in EHS has been steadily expanding over the past two years, with software providers introducing tools for hazard prediction, fatigue monitoring, and automated compliance tracking. Analysts say the technology could help reduce administrative workloads and improve early hazard detection—if implemented responsibly.

“Automation in safety programs is accelerating, but it has to stay human-centered,” said Stasia DeMarco, professional ergonomist and host of the OH&S Safety Pod. “Tools like this can enhance decision-making, but leadership, worker feedback, and data ethics remain critical.”

Availability and Next Steps

Benchmark Gensuite said its AI Agents are now being rolled out to subscribers through the company’s cloud platform. The tools are expected to expand to cover sustainability and ESG reporting in future releases.
