Collins Aerospace Achieves OSHA VPP Star Status at Vermont Facility
The recognition places Collins Aerospace among a select group of U.S. worksites where management and employees collaborate to exceed OSHA requirements, reduce risks, and build a model safety program.

Collins Aerospace has earned the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s Voluntary Protection Program Star designation at its Vermont facility, the agency’s highest honor for workplace safety and health.
The recognition highlights the company’s ability to build and maintain a comprehensive safety and health management system that goes beyond federal requirements. To achieve Star status, sites must show injury and illness rates below industry averages, demonstrate strong employee involvement, and pass a rigorous on-site evaluation by safety experts.
Company officials and state leaders praised the achievement as evidence of a sustained commitment to worker protection. They noted that the designation reflects not only management leadership but also the active role of employees in identifying hazards, controlling risks, and driving continuous improvement.
Collins Aerospace now joins a select group of worksites nationwide recognized for their excellence in workplace safety, a distinction that requires ongoing vigilance and re-evaluation every few years to maintain.
