ASSP Attendees at Community Meeting

Safety 2025 Highlights Networking, Leadership, and Peer Growth

Networking sessions, wellness activities, and leadership meetups at Safety 2025 aim to strengthen community and collaboration among safety professionals.

As the safety profession continues to evolve, opportunities to grow through meaningful connections are more important than ever. At this year’s Safety 2025 Professional Development Conference and Exposition, hosted by the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP), networking and professional development will be central to the experience.

Set for July 22–24 in Orlando, Florida, the event is expected to draw thousands of occupational safety and health (OSH) professionals from around the globe. While technical sessions and an expansive expo floor will deliver tools and innovations, a robust lineup of peer-focused activities is designed to help attendees build relationships, share insights, and expand their impact across the profession.

Conversations That Matter

Throughout the week, a series of targeted networking sessions will give attendees the chance to engage in guided discussions on leadership, mentorship, and personal growth. For first-time attendees, an opening-day meetup offers a welcoming introduction and the opportunity to connect early with others navigating the conference for the first time.

In “Fueling Your Future: Leadership Insights & Peer Connections through ASSP,” members of the organization’s leadership will share how their involvement in ASSP helped shape their careers—and how others can tap into those same opportunities. The session encourages dialogue and connection between emerging leaders and seasoned professionals.

Additional sessions will tackle career-building themes like developing influence in a changing workplace, fostering mentorship that benefits both mentor and mentee, and taking ownership of one’s professional path. Each conversation is designed to be interactive and supportive, offering space for honest dialogue and shared learning.

Wellness and Informal Meetups

Recognizing the demands safety professionals face, the conference also incorporates moments of physical and mental recharge. A Body and Brain Break session invites attendees to participate in gentle movement and breathing exercises to stay refreshed and focused during the final day of programming.

Networking also extends beyond the meeting rooms. Activities like the Rise & Shine Speedy Stroll and Fun Run provide a casual way to connect with peers and ASSP leaders before the formal sessions begin. Lunchtime meetups with ASSP communities will offer informal settings for attendees to discuss shared interests and workplace experiences in a relaxed, social environment.

Connection at the Core

With its range of opportunities for structured dialogue and spontaneous conversation, Safety 2025 is more than a technical learning event—it’s a place where safety professionals can find support, grow their networks, and strengthen their role within the broader OSH community.

Whether it’s through a leadership roundtable, a shared walk, or a hallway introduction, the conference aims to cultivate lasting connections that extend well beyond Orlando.
