Cority—which specializes in EHS and sustainability software—has acquired Meddbase, which released the first cloud-native clinical software for healthcare providers in the UK, in a move aimed at strengthening its healthcare technology offerings.
According to a recent release, the acquisition integrates Meddbase’s clinical solutions into Cority’s Health Cloud platform, enhancing tools for healthcare providers managing workplace health programs. Founded in 2004, Meddbase has expanded into occupational health, electronic health records and private healthcare management. Its platform includes clinical management, scheduling, billing and administrative tools.
“Meddbase has a track record of delivering exceptional value to healthcare providers through its secure and adaptable clinical solutions,” Cority CEO Ryan Magee said in a statement. “This acquisition aligns with Cority’s mission to empower organizations to care for their people, reduce risks, and improve operational performance. Together, we will set a new standard of excellence in occupational medicine and workforce wellbeing with a comprehensive and scalable software suite.”
The acquisition comes as healthcare providers face financial pressures, and employers seek better tools to manage workplace injuries and illnesses. Cority and Meddbase aim to address these challenges by combining their technologies to improve efficiency, streamline billing and enhance patient care.
“Meddbase’s mission to put people at the center of healthcare aligns perfectly with Cority’s vision,” Meddbase Managing Director/Co-Founder Will Temple said in a statement. “We are excited to join forces with Cority to deliver cutting-edge solutions that empower healthcare providers to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency.”
A product roadmap for the combined solutions will be developed within 90 days to guide integration efforts. Meddbase’s software will be incorporated into Cority’s EHS and sustainability ecosystem, CorityOne, which connects workplace EHS management tools.
