ASSP and S4NP Announce Partnership Focusing on Workplace Safety

The two organizations have teamed up to improve workplace safety by sharing resources and promoting joint volunteer efforts.

The American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP) and Safety For NonProfits (S4NP) — a nonprofit corporation providing environmental health and safety services to charitable organizations — announced a one-year partnership to promote worker safety.

According to a recent release, the collaboration aims to reduce workplace illnesses, injuries and fatalities through cross-promoting volunteer opportunities and sharing safety-related content. S4NP will also participate in ASSP’s Leadership Conference events, while ASSP will promote S4NP during National Volunteer Week in April.

“We recognize the benefits of collaboration to improve occupational safety and health practices while elevating the voice of our profession,” ASSP President Pam Walaski said in a statement. “Together we strive to strengthen advocacy efforts that reduce worker illnesses, injuries and fatalities.”

This alliance represents one of many joint agreements ASSP has established to advance occupational safety. Similarly, S4NP has aligned with other partners to bolster health and safety practices in nonprofit organizations.

“Our mutual interests in increasing engagement and advancing worker safety create opportunities to work together and help charitable nonprofits in our communities be safer and better,” S4NP Founder/President Jack Geissert said in a statement.
