OSHA has scheduled the next meetings of its Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health (ACCSH)—held both in-person and virtually—for Oct. 29-30, 2024.
According to a recent release, the ACCSH advises the Secretary of Labor and Assistant Secretary on policy and standards related to construction safety. Three ACCSH workgroups will meet on October 29 to discuss emerging technologies, work zone safety and health concerns within the construction industry.
On October 30, the committee’s discussions will feature remarks from Assistant Secretary of Labor for OSH Douglas Parker and an update from OSHA’s Directorate of Construction, discussions on hearing conservation and women’s role in construction, reports from committee workgroups, and a period for public comment.
Although in-person attendance is open to the public, it is limited to 25 people, though they must register by October 23. Comments and requests to speak must also be submitted by that same date on the Federal eRulemaking Portal. Meanwhile, interested parties can register to attend the online meeting on the ACCSH webpage.
