The upcoming Safety+ Symposium takes place from August 25 to August 28, 2024, in Aurora, Colorado. Hosted by the Voluntary Protection Programs Participants’ Association (VPPPA), the event will feature a comprehensive line-up of workshops designed to empower safety professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to enhance their Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability (EHS&S) programs. 

On Monday, August 26, attendees can start the afternoon by exploring the transformative power of storytelling in safety culture or dive into the intricacies of incident investigation to uncover root causes. Other sessions running throughout the day include practical guidance on adapting to evolving marijuana laws in the workplace and enhancing safety performance through mobile apps.

Tuesday, August 27, promises another full day of workshops. Noteworthy sessions include "The Power of Generative AI: Building a Platform for Optimized Safety Practices," which will explore how artificial intelligence can be leveraged to improve safety outcomes. Other workshops address power skills for emerging leaders and transforming risk management will provide valuable insights.

The final day of the symposium, Wednesday, August 28, will delve into advanced topics such as lithium-ion battery safety, leadership strategies for sustained safety and innovative approaches to working at heights.
