AIHce EXP 2023 Offers Up a Week of Education, Activities

The annual conference continues through May 25 at the Phoenix Convention Center with a range of conference sessions, networking events and other attractions.

There’s much more to learn and experience at AIHce EXP 2023, the American Industrial Hygiene Association’s (AIHA) annual conference and expo, which started Sat. May 20 at the Phoenix Convention Center and runs through Thursday, May 25.

Education sessions run 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on May 23 and 8 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. on May 24. Conference session groups E, F, G, H, I and J run on May 23, offering 60 sessions total, and groups K, L, M, N and O run on May 24, delivering 50 sessions.

To help attendees learn the latest from industry vendors, AIHce EXP 2023’s exhibit hall will be open from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on May 23 and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 24. The expo features more than 175 companies across more than 30 product and service categories.

Additionally, the expo hall’s Innovation Station will offer 20 mini sessions from industry vendors on May 23 on the expo floor. Sessions include risk assessment, hearing protection and connected safety programs.

Also, at 12:30 p.m. the expo hall will also feature a fashion show showcasing women’s PPE offerings.

AIHce EXP 2023 will officially close with a session from Fredi Lajvardi on why diversity is key to igniting interest in STEM education. The inspiration for the movie “Spare Parts,” starring George Lopez, Lajvardi has been a high school teacher for more than 30 years, and the robotics team he led participated in an underwater robotics competition and beat noteworthy competitors, such as MIT. The closing session will occur on May 24 at 3:30 p.m.

While the conference and expo might be closed on Thursday, May 25, AIHce EXP 2023’s final run of professional development courses will occur on this day. The courses, which also ran on Saturday, May 20, deliver in-depth instruction by field experts to enhance technical competence and provide practical tools and skills for the modern workplace.
