Headed to AIHce EXP 2023? Here’s What Phoenix Has to Offer

This year, the American Industrial Hygiene Conference & Expo will be held at the Phoenix Convention Center in Arizona.

The American Industrial Hygiene Association’s American Industrial Hygiene Conference & Expo is almost here! Taking place this year in Arizona, professionals will be gathering for the event from May 22 to 24 at the Phoenix Convention Center. If you’re looking for things to see and do after a day of networking and learning, don’t worry. Phoenix has so much to offer.

If you’re down for some fun with coworkers or new connections after the show, head over to 810 Billards & Bowling. Only a six-minute walk from the Phoenix Convention Center, 810 Billards & Bowling offers bowling, billiards, ping pong and various board games, along with food and drinks. Châm Pang Lanes is another great option for those looking interested in bowling. At Châm Pang Lanes, you can choose between bowling, pool and pinball machines, all while enjoying food and drinks.

If you’re willing to take a bit of a drive (only 14 minutes from the convention center) for a gorgeous view, head to Papago Park (pictured above). Per Visit Phoenix’s website, “Papago Park has been home to many different pieces of Phoenix history: it was a reservation for indigenous tribes, a fish hatchery during the Great Depression, a POW camp during World War II, and a VA hospital.” Papago Park offers attractions for everyone, such as a place to hike, the Phoenix Zoo, Desert Botanical Garden and museums.

Not ready to commit to any plans yet? Take a stroll around one of the four nearby districts. Heritage Square boats many 19th- and 20th-century homes, museums and, per Visit Phoenix, Pizzeria Bianco, a place “heralded as the best pizza in the nation.” Buildings in Roosevelt Row are covered in beautiful murals. Here, you’ll also find many bars and breweries, restaurants and nightlife spots.

Weather for each day of the show will range between about 98 degrees Fahrenheit in the day to 71 degrees Fahrenheit at night. No need to pack an umbrella or raincoat, the days should all be mostly sunny with no precipitation (as of May 12).
