OSHA Accepting Nominations for National Advisory Committee on Occupational Safety and Health

Nominations for the six open spots on the committee are due by February 2, 2023.

Nominations for the National Advisory Committee on Occupational Safety and Health are now open.

According to a news release, there are six openings on the Committee, which “advises the Secretary of Labor and Secretary of Health and Human Services on matters related to administering the Occupational Safety and Health Act.” In total, there are 12 members.

OSHA is looking for two public representatives, one management representative, one labor representative, one occupational safety professional representative and one occupational health professional representative, according to the news release. Terms last two years.

Nominations can be submitted on Federal eRulemaking Portal, OSHA-2022-0002 and are due by February 2.

Four members were also recently added to the committee. Nancy Daraiseh of the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is a public representative; Kathleen Dobson of Alberici Constructors, Inc., is a safety representative; John Dony of the National Safety Council is a management representative; and Rebecca Reindel of AFL-CIO is a labor representative.
