OH&S To Host Third Annual Industrial Hygiene Virtual Summit

Join leading health and safety experts for three live presentations.

Occupational Health & Safety is pleased to host the third annual Industrial Hygiene Virtual Summit, a digital event geared toward those in the industrial hygiene field responsible for the safety, health and environment of their organizations.

Join us on Thursday, May 19, 2022 for three live webinars from industry experts.

Attendees will gain important knowledge on topics such as achieving effective worker safety through a Total Worker Health program, compliance with respiratory protection programs in the aftermath of COVID-19 and understanding how to use direct reading instruments/methods for assessment and control of gas and vapor hazards.

The event will start with a keynote webinar from Dede Montgomery. For the last 17 years, Montgomery has supported the Oregon Institute of Occupational Health Science’s Outreach and Education Programs and provided industrial hygiene technical expertise to its research. She is also the Outreach Core Co-Principal Investigator for the NIOSH-funded Oregon Healthy Workforce Center.

The second webinar, focused on respiratory protection, will be from Dennis A. Terpin, Ph.D., O.H.S.T., EMT-P. Dr. Terpin is a Retired Senior Industrial Hygienist and Emergency Manager at The University of Illinois Chicago (UIC).

To close out the event, the last webinar will feature Dr. John Snawder, Ph.D. From 1992-2022, he was at NIOSH as a research toxicologist. Dr. Snawder served as the Leader of the Biomonitoring Research Team and Co-Director of the NIOSH Center for Direct Reading and Sensor Technologies.

Attendees will have a chance to win prizes from our sponsors, including an Industrial Scientific gas monitor and Amazon gift cards.
