OSHA Seeks New Members for Construction Safety Committee
The Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health is in need of 14 new members.
OSHA is currently accepting nominations for people to serve on the Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health.
The agency is looking for 14 new members to fill the 15-member group that advises the Secretary of Labor and Assistant Secretary of Labor for Occupational Safety and Health on the development of policies that affect the construction industry. New members must have experience in construction-related safety and health issues.
There are five employee, five employers, two state safety and health agency and two public representative vacancies that need to be filled. The members usually serve two-year staggered terms, with the exception of the representative who is appointed by the Secretary of Labor. That position is indefinite.
The deadline to submit a nomination is January 8. More information on the submission process can be found at osha.gov.
