ASSP Taking Safety 2020 to Orlando

Next year's Professional Development Conference and Exposition will take place June 22-25, 2020.

Safety 2019 came to a close last week in The Big Easy after several days of important informational sessions, dedicated time spent with exhibitors, and plenty of exciting events unique to New Orleans. As you reflect on your time at the Annual Professional Development Conference and Exposition, I'm sure you are wondering where might it be headed next year?

Safety 2020 is taking the sunny approach and headed straight down to Orlando, Fla. The 2019 conference touted record setting numbers, and even more growth is expected for the 59th annual conference in Orlando.

If you've ever thought of contributing more to the conference as a presenter, now is the time to submit a proposal for a session at the conference. The deadline to submit is just a few weeks away, on July 17, 2019. Those accepted to speak will be notified by Nov. 8, 2019. Details and instructions for submitting a proposal can be found here.

While Orlando is known for its more than a dozen theme parks, including Disney World and Universal Studios, the city is also home to the Orange County Convention Center, which is the second-largest convention facility in the United States. According to its website, the OCCC attracts more than 230 events to the Central Florida area with more than 1.4 million attendees.
