AD Hosts Second eCommerce Summit

The summit focused on strategy, objectives, and tactics for independent distributors and included one-on-one expert coaching sessions, sharing best practices, platform-focused networking, member-led panels, and keynote speeches from industry experts.

Wayne, Pa.-based AD, which calls itself the largest contractor and industrial products wholesale buying group in North America, held its second annual eCommerce Summit during Feb. 7-9 at the Westin in Denver, Colo. More than 250 AD independent distributors from six industries attended it, according to the group's announcement.

The summit focused on "strategy, objectives, and tactics for independent distributors looking to win in an evolving digital world," it said, adding that the event included one-on-one expert coaching sessions, sharing best practices, platform-focused networking, member-led panels, and keynote speeches from industry experts.

At the event's awards ceremony, N.H. Bragg received AD Industrial eCommerce Member of the Year honors. "N.H. Bragg is humbled to receive this honor," said Jon Eames, the company's president. "The N.H Bragg team takes our eCommerce presence seriously and I am personally grateful for all the hard work my team puts into this initiative. AD's motto, 'Together, we win,' has never been more relevant than when you look at what AD independents have been able to accomplish in the world of eCommerce. From the creation of over 2.4 Million SKUs to the hundreds of Independents now sharing eCommerce best practices at the AD eCommerce Summit – it is quite powerful what we can accomplish when we work together. We are proud to be part of the AD organization."

The event was sponsored by Brady, Leviton, Viega, Unilog, B2X Partners, Epicor, and IDEA.

AD has more than 600 independently owned members across seven industries and three countries with annual sales in excess of $37 billion. Members serve industries that include electrical; industrial; plumbing; pipes, valves, and fittings; HVAC; building materials; and bearings and power transmission.
